When the pandemic hit in 2020, La Casa Founders Holding Company purchased the building at auction. Our nonprofit organization partnered with the new ownership to reopen its doors to the community. Soon after, the building received official landmark designation, restoring its historical name: La Casa de la Raza. Today, the Restorative Justice Education Center continues to serve from this iconic space — supporting families in crisis, uplifting community voices, and keeping the doors open while the building undergoes its final transformation.

The Restorative Justice Education Center is rooted in our commitment to walk alongside families in crisis with compassion, dignity, and practical support. We provide essential services through four pipelines: Basic Needs—delivering food, hygiene items, and household essentials; Resource—connecting families with legal aid, locating detained loved ones, and creating preparedness plans; Media—sharing vital information on rights, policy changes, and resources through weekly radio and print updates; and Safehaven—offering trusted spaces for community gatherings, organizing, and mutual aid.

Whether that’s bringing in a bag of groceries, donating grocery store gift cards, or supporting monetarily—your generous donation makes a powerful difference. Every contribution helps us bring healing, stability, and hope to those facing some of life’s toughest challenges. With your help, we can expand our reach, strengthen our programs, and walk alongside more families as they work toward restoration, resilience, and renewed opportunity. Your support is more than a donation—it’s a lifeline for families seeking peace, safety, and a path forward. Join us in creating change.
