When the pandemic hit in 2020, La Casa Founders Holding Company purchased the building at auction. Our nonprofit organization partnered with the new ownership to reopen its doors to the community. Soon after, the building received official landmark designation, restoring its historical name: La Casa de la Raza. Today, the Restorative Justice Education Center continues to serve from this iconic space — supporting families in crisis, uplifting community voices, and keeping the doors open while the building undergoes its final transformation.

Becoming an Ally
At the Restorative Justice Education Center, rooted in the heart of Casa de la Raza, allyship means joining hands and hearts to stand with immigrant families and all communities seeking justice. We believe in showing up, listening deeply, and taking action together. Our movement grows stronger when neighbors, friends, and new allies come alongside us—sharing skills, raising voices, and holding space for hope. Whether it’s offering time, resources, or simply your presence, you are welcome here. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels safe, seen, and supported.
Getting Involved:
Get Involved with our Basic Needs Pipeline!
Basic Needs Pipeline
Stand with families by helping provide food, hygiene items, and other essentials. Allies can volunteer with boxing care packages, donate supplies, or help with deliveries to those unable to leave their homes.
Get involved with our Resource Pipeline!
Support our efforts to connect community members with legal aid, locate detained loved ones, and create family preparedness plans. Allies can offer professional expertise, translation skills, or simply be present to walk alongside families during difficult moments.
Get involved with our Media Pipeline!
Help us keep our community informed and empowered through weekly radio and newspaper updates. Allies can contribute by sharing stories, translating content, amplifying messages on social media, or helping fund production costs.
Get involved with our Safe Haven Pipeline!
Join us in creating and protecting spaces where immigrant families feel welcome and secure—such as Casa de la Raza. Allies can volunteer at events, provide safe transportation, or be a trusted presence in times of crisis.
