When the pandemic hit in 2020, La Casa Founders Holding Company purchased the building at auction. Our nonprofit organization partnered with the new ownership to reopen its doors to the community. Soon after, the building received official landmark designation, restoring its historical name: La Casa de la Raza. Today, the Restorative Justice Education Center continues to serve from this iconic space — supporting families in crisis, uplifting community voices, and keeping the doors open while the building undergoes its final transformation.

Becoming an Ally
At the Restorative Justice Education Center, rooted in the heart of Casa de la Raza, allyship means joining hands and hearts to stand with immigrant families and all communities seeking justice. We believe in showing up, listening deeply, and taking action together. Our movement grows stronger when neighbors, friends, and new allies come alongside us—sharing skills, raising voices, and holding space for hope. Whether it’s offering time, resources, or simply your presence, you are welcome here. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels safe, seen, and supported.
