LA CASA IS NOW UNDER
NEW OWNERSHIP

The building was purchased at Auction by one of the very first Executive Directors of it, in April of 2020.
The new ownership worked swiftly to protect it by placing the land under a newly formed nonprofit, and quickly moving it through a historic preservation process.
In November of 2020, the building was designated as a Historical Landmark, forever preserving the building's rich history and formally naming it as
 La Casa de la Raza (the People's Home). 
Because of this, our Local Majority-Minority History is preserved
and the building is ready to move forward in generating
equity for decades to come!
